Convenient, easy to use and space saving.
Roller doors are the fastest growing type of new garage door and have a some advantages over traditional up & over garage doors.
There are three types of roller door, the single skin model in both manual and automatic, the insulated roller and the compact insulated roller door. All roller doors are made to measure and have no kick out in either direction so you can park up to the door. They fit behind the brickwork so there is no frame, so no loss of height or width, which is great if you have a large car, mpv or 4x4, just ask anyone who has had to have their mirrors repaired after catching then on the frame!.
All roller doors have a reinforced aluminium bottom rail and full width PVC weather seal which makes them draught free, a huge bonus if your garage is part of your house or you use it for a workshop, playroom, gym etc. Because the door rolls up at the top there is no door on the ceiling so it can be used for other purposes.
WARNING - NOT ALL ROLLER DOORS ARE THE SAME!
Insulated roller doors are made and installed by an ever increasing number of companies, but in the overall life of the door cheapest is not always the most economical as we have seen many many times. It pays to buy quality products, professionally fitted if you only want to buy once.
All our roller doors are supplied by GLIDEROL or GARADOR / HORMANN, and with their years of manufacturing experience, they have the quality to last.

  GARADOR INSULATED ROLLER DOOR
Garador have an insulated roller door that is a huge step forward in ease of use and reliable low cost running and maintenance. Sometimes the initial cost of the door is far outweighed by the ongoing cost of maintenance and life of the doors parts. The benefits of the new door are; - Full cover of the door roll when fully up as standard. - Wind stops to stop the door curtain being pushed or blown through the tracks. - Smooth profile of the slats, means no dust traps. - Spring counter balance, the only make to do this, means the weight of the door is helped by the spring, giving less stress on the motor and easy manual opening in case of a power cut. - The motor is on the outside of the door (but inside the garage)meaning the motor can be serviced without the whole door being taken apart. - Existing and proven motor as used in up and over door openers means reliability, easy supply of pats and accessories. - Slow start and stop - A motor that remembers the force needed to open and close the door means no safety edge or light beams. Less parts means less to go wrong. - Options such as alarms and external manual release.
So before you choose a roller door, consider how long you want your door to last, and how reliable and easy to maintain it will be. remember the cost of your door should be spread against its life. I have known cheap doors to last as little as three months.
